Salmon is one of the most popular fish in the world. It is high in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin D. Salmon are native to many Northern Pacific and Northern Atlantic Ocean regions. The majority of the Salmon consumed in the US is farm raised Atlantic Salmon, although there is a substantial increase during the summer months of wild salmon coming from Alaska and the Pacific Northwest region of the US.
