A Self Lubricated Pillow Blocks refers to any mounted bearing where
the mounted shaft is on a plane parallel to the mounting surface
and perpendicular to the center line of the mounting holes, in
contrast to various types of flange blocks or flange units.
The plain bearing, the most commonly used type of assembly, is
designed to support the shaft where the mounting surface is
parallel to the axis of the shaft. Bolt holes are usually cut for
adjustment during installation. Self lubricated Pillow blocks come
in a variety of configurations. Forged steel bearings are also
available for easy use.
Craft split Self lubricated pillow block bearings offer the
advantages of conventional bearings with the added feature of easy
assembly around a shaft. The entire assembly is split in half to
facilitate installation, inspection and replacement of the self
